It's no secret that Penn State would love to have Al Golden as their next head football coach. The former Penn State tight end and current head football coach at the University of Miami (Fla.) was immediately mentioned as a leading candidate to replace Bill O'Brien, who was officially introduced as the new head coach of the Houston Texans on Friday.

Apparently, Golden has vaulted to the top of Penn State's wish list as a report from John Clark of NBC 10 in Philadelphia cites a unnamed source that says that the Penn State search committee will travel to Miami, Fla. Saturday to meet with Golden.Clark also says that, according to his source, Penn State has not offered the job to Golden, but could as early as Saturday.
